It was April 2021, and I stumbled upon cold brew coffee while looking for more efficient ways to get my morning caffeine fix at home. I fell in love with cold brew after realizing I could pre-make a batch of concentrate for the week and dilute it to my desired strength (typically on the stronger end). Experimenting with different ratios and methods of brewing, I realized achieving high-quality concentrate was more of a challenge than I initially thought. Products that used restrictive metal and cloth barriers created a weak brew, and occasionally the grounds in the center were still dry. Other methods that immersed the grounds directly in the water took required extensive filtration time.

I knew there had to be a better way, so I took the next logical steps anyone with a problem would do. I taught myself advanced CAD software and began developing a solution on my 3D printer. Within a few weeks, I had my first proof of concept.
